 Julie has been the Chapter Executive Director for the CAI-Georgia Chapter since 2002.  She holds a CMCA certification from CAI and is a member of the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE).  Under Julie’s leadership, the CAI-Georgia Chapter membership, sponsorships and attendance at events has continued to grow.  The Georgia Chapter is proud to be the recipient of numerous CAI national awards in Membership, Member Services, Public Affairs, and Chapter Management & Development.


Julie enjoys the unique rewards of running a not-for-profit association and welcomes the many challenges.  She especially enjoys the interaction with all of the many volunteers and the opportunity it gives her to get to know people from many different walks of life.  Before becoming an executive director, Julie worked as a corporate and freelance technical writer and instructional designer for 13 years.  Her volunteer work past and present includes Literacy Volunteers of America, Lansdowne Homeowners Association Board Secretary, Lansdowne Book Club President, Hands on Atlanta volunteer coordinator, Girl Scout Leader, Fundraising Committee – Riverside Elementary, Cultural Arts Committee Chair - Braelinn Elementary School, and Talent Show Coordinator – Braelinn Elementary school.
