Attendees will have the opportunity to choose from morning and afternoon sessions, earning up to 6 CE credits while learning from top industry professionals. The day includes an optional breakfast, buffet lunch and tradeshow, and concludes with a cocktail reception full of prizes. CLASS DESCRIPTIONS:

Morning 1 & Afternoon Session 1:
SURVIVAL SKILLS FOR COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION MANAGERS: MANAGING BURNOUT, DIFFICULT TASKS, AND CHALLENGING CLIENTS
National Guest Instructor: Greg Smith, CMCA, AMS, PCAM
This course will focus on the skills and practices necessary for property managers to prepare for and address the day-to-day challenges property managers face in today's fast paced, constantly evolving community association landscape. 

Morning Session 2
COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION SURVIVAL: OUTWIT, OUTPLAY, OUTLAST LEGISLATIVE CHANGES
Instructed by a panel of attorneys
This course will be taught by local attorneys who represent community associations as a panel of roundtable discussion and will focus on updates from CAI-Georgia's Legislative Action Committee regarding recent or expected legislation impacting community associations, and how community association stakeholders can respond to legislative issues. In addition, the course will address Fair Housing Act issues and recent trends, ethical issues in community association management and finally, an update of recent caselaw impacting community associations.

Afternoon Session 2
WEATHERING THE STORM: SURVIVING AND MANAGING THE UNEXPECTED
Instructed by a panel of attorneys
This session will be taught by local attorneys who represent community associations as a panel or roundtable discussion and will focus on emergency situations that demand immediate responses and provide examples and best practices for how managers, community association boards, and professionals can work together to mitigate damage, respond effectively, and resolve crisis. Topics included will be insurance cancellations and premium increases, casualty event, petition to remove board, claim or lawsuit against association/board, housing violation claims, foreclosure of tax lien/tax sale of common property, and condemnation/eminent domain.
