Morning & Afternoon Session 1: "Whoops I Did It Again: Common Mistakes & Communication Errors"
National Guest Instructor: Ursula K. Burgess, Esq., CCAL
This same course will be taught both in the morning and afternoon. We encourage our managers to attend at least one session! This course will discuss common industry mistakes and practical advice on dealing with learning from common mistakes, communication errors within community associations, and practical advice/tips for enhancing methods of communication to achieve more effective communication with members.

Morning Session 2: "I Fought the Law and the Law Won: Violations, Collections, Litigation and Dispute Resolution
Instructors: Panel of Attorneys
Homeowners and residents in community associations most often try to "fight the law" over covenant violations and unpaid assessments, which can lead to disputes and litigation. The panel of attorneys will detail best practices on how to create the best possible landscape for a litigated case and what to expect if a matter moves from dispute to litigation.

Afternoon Session 2: "We Built This City: Reserve Studies, Deferred Maintenance, and Related Issues:
Instructors: Panel of Attorneys
This course for community associations managers will dive into a better understanding of issues surrounding reserve studies and deferred maintenance, including planning, implementing, and updating reserve studies and developing strategies to address deferred maintenance issues, as well as the effects that reserve studies and deferred maintenance may have on communities in the context of things like insurance and financing.
