February 9-12: Community Association Law Seminar

May 10: CMCA Prep Class

The CMCA Prep Class is back by popular demand! Planning on taking the CMCA exam? CAI-Georgia is lucky to have some of the top managers in the country and we want to do everything we can to continue this trend and help add some credentials to your name! This review session will prepare community managers to take the CMCA exam (3 hour exam, 120 multiple choice exam). This class will be taught by Thomas C. Englbom, CMCA, AMS, PCAM, ARM, CPM, Ph.D


June 23: Understanding Association Financials

This 3 CE course is designed for the community association manager or homeowner leader to better understand financial basics such as reading financial statements and best practices when approaching budget preparation. This class will also include partnering with a CPA and understanding various accounting methods used in community association management and how to best navigate the loan process for associations.

August 11: Zoning/Platt Education Class
3 CE Credits | Polo Golf & Country Club 

This 3 CE credit course is designed to be hands-on for participants with sample maps and plats used for all the attendees. The review and explanation of plats and the components of the least understood document for Associations. This course is for the community association manager or homeowner leader to better understand plat and recorded maps for the community such as reading property boundaries, easements and requirements noted on those easements. This class will be instructed by an attorney and engineer to understand various zoning regulations and changes that affect community association management and how to best navigate the processes for associations.

September 22: On-site Condo Maintenance Education
3 CE Credits
Sovereign Buckhead

This 3 CE credit course is targeted toward community managers involved or interested in complex onsite condominium and multi-use communities, inclusive of master and sub-associations. These communities often have more extensive amenities that are used more intensely and require a higher level of maintenance including pools, pump rooms, elevators and more. Complex condominiums are also faced with complex insurance issues; it does not involve a simple one-on-one insurance contract. Finally, complex condominiums often have a complex drainage, roofing and HVAC issues.
